LEVEL A.2 - B.1
Internet chatrooms provide the opportunity for instant communication. Speed is what matters. Can you understand the chat below?
Here are some tips.
1. Use individual letters for whole words because of their sound.
2. Use a combination of letters to shorten common phrases and expressions
3. Use numbers and letters to cut a long word short
You should arrive at something like this:
John: How are you?
Sue: I'm fine, but busy, be back later.
John: I see, please hurry back, I need to tell you something.
Sue: I'll be as soon as possible
Sue: I'm back. So, what's up?
John: I just wanted to let you know that you have received a
payrise.
Sue: No kidding! That's great! Thank you!
John: You're welcome. Hugs and kisses for now. See you
soon.
